Are you a Physiotherapist looking to spend a year in a rewarding career within a highly specialist service? If so, come and join the therapy department at Queen Victoria Hospital as part of our therapy team within Burns/Plastics/Head and Neck where you'll be supported asyou shape and empower recovery.
This roles work directly within well establish MDT's which include other Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Nursing Team, Psychological Therapists, Medical Colleagues (including Surgeons, Anesthetists and Intensivists). This diverse range of professionals gives access to excellent in house training driven by a range of highly experienced clinicians. This post has direct peer support via two other band 7's within the team as well as the Therapy Services Manager.
You must have excellent clinical skills, be proactive and self-motivated, but most importantly have a passion for maintaining high standards of care for our patients.

Main duties of the job
You will be a Physiotherapist who can deliver advanced clinical assessments and treatments to a caseload of adult patients on rehabilitation pathways. Your role will also include creating and delivering bespoke training to less experienced therapists, students, support workers and the wider MDT.
Alongside these advanced clinical skills we are looking for an inspirational and compassionate leader who will join together in departmental initiatives with peers across our 7 other therapy teams based at QVH. Our vision is to help people achieve their potential and as part of the senior leadership team in therapies you will drive forward change to facilitate this.
As the joint lead of the team you will have the opportunity to evaluate the service, choosing and implementing developments across the service that are correlate with the caseloads evolving needs and wider therapies department. The role involves both clinical and management responsibilities which include completing PDR's, development of staff, performance management and recruitment and workforce planning.
