Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a positive impact on young lives? GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional team in one of our client schools in Hull, starting in September onwards.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting pupils to overcome any barriers to learning that their needs may pose. You must be nurturing by nature and have the educational welfare of every pupil at the heart of what you do. You will have the chance to work alongside experienced educators, gaining valuable insights and skills that will further enhance your own professional development.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Working under the direction and guidance of teachers supporting individuals, small groups, and whole class situations.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons to students identified as requiring additional support.
  • Conduct General Teaching Assistant duties including administration tasks.
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervising students during class activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to provide regular updates on student progress.

To work as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, You should:

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Have previous working experience in an educational setting is preferable.
  • Be able to engage with young people and build effective relationships.
  • Be confident in managing behaviour within a school setting.
  • Be aware of and knowledgeable about different additional needs such as ASC, ADHD and SEMH.
  • Have strong communication and management skills to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Passionate about education and working with young children to achieve their academic goals.
