Brighton, United Kingdom ADHD Aware Full time

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Organisation: ADHD Aware

Location: Remote with a willingness to travel to Brighton and Hove twice a month for Operational meetings.

Position Type:  Part-time initially 10 hours per week with review rising to 15 if needed, preferably every morning Mon-Fri (negotiable).

Reports to: Operational Manager

Organisation Overview:

ADHD Aware is a dynamic charity dedicated to supporting adults impacted by ADHD. We support people through our peer led services and drive wider impact through delivering Neurodiversity Awareness Training in the workplace.

Our aim is to foster greater understanding of neurodiversity and the unique strengths and challenges of neurodivergent lived experience. Our mission is to empower neurodiverse communities through comprehensive support services and to transform workplace cultures to become more inclusive and accessible through specialised training.

In 2023, we were successful in receiving a three-year National Lottery grant.  This supports the growth of our awareness raising neurodiversity in the workplace training programs, AWARE and THRIVE.  The primary aims of this project are twofold:

  1. To raise awareness and educate employers across all sectors about neurodiversity: how to support neurodiverse employees and the benefits, unique skills and talents neurodiverse employees can bring to workplace settings.
  2. To develop an income stream for the charity to ensure its financial sustainability beyond the life of the grant.

The grant also covers exploration and expansion of other models for our services, including increasing the range of open and closed courses that may be chargeable to individual participants.

We are now seeking an experienced Business Development Executive (BDE) to help us grow the area of these activities that will drive sustainable income, going forward.

Job Description:

ADHD Aware are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Executive (BDE). The BDE will be responsible for marketing and selling our training courses and for managing all aspects of the sales and client relationship.  This includes liaising with and organising our team of trainers to deliver the training. We already have a strong pipeline of interested parties and need someone who can work autonomously to close these sales (and generate and close new leads).

This role is pivotal in driving our organisation’s business objectives and will involve close collaboration with our organisation’s Operational Manager. This role will be measured by Key Performance Indicators with commission.  The role is funded through the National Lottery Community Fund.

  • CRM Implementation and Management: Manage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to enhance organisational efficiency and client interaction
  • Leverage our marketing playbook and existing materials to market ADHD Aware’s Neurodiversity Awareness training

  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
  • Work closely with the Operational Manager to ensure that business development strategies are aligned with the organisational goals and enhance the overall mission of supporting neurodiverse individuals.
