Job Purpose
The Senior PMO Analyst is responsible for supporting the Technology PMO Manager in establishing and managing the core governance and control processes across the Technology Delivery department. 

The Technology Delivery function delivers a wide range of Change which the Senior PMO Analyst will support. This will involve the Senior PMO Analyst working with Programme, Project, Digital and Value Stream Teams to provide effective management of core delivery activities, helping to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget, irrespective of methodology used,

Key Responsibilities

Support the embedding and continuous improvement of PMO methods, standards, tools and processes across all initiatives and provide relevant guidance to Delivery managers across the Programme, Project, Digital and Value Stream Teams.Deputise for the Technology PMO Manager where requiredSupport the PMO and Delivery Managers in ensuring that all initiatives undertaken are properly defined, resourced and managed in accordance with the agreed change frameworksWork with Programme and Project Managers and Digital and Value Stream Leads to support the creation and tracking of project and sprint plans highlighting key milestones and critical path activities.Facilitate the Technology Delivery resource management process, including resource capacity planning and reporting actualsSupport the delivery and ongoing tracking of resource plans, highlighting, where necessary, any gaps between demand and availability of all resources.Assist the PMO Manager with reporting and analysis to support Tech Delivery planning and prioritisation including annual resource planning, pipeline decisions and any subsequent portfolio, programme or project reviewsFacilitate effective risk, issue and dependency management across all initiatives, providing support and challenge to Project Managers where required.Coordinate the updating and maintenance of risk, issue and dependency logsSupport the delivery and review of weekly reports from the Technology Project Managers, tracking progress against plans and providing feedback and challenge where requiredSupport effective tracking and reporting of all relevant initiatives, tracking progress against plans, providing feedback and highlighting points for escalation where required.Support the PMO Manager in the delivery of management information (MI) packs where requiredMaintain and update the project deliverables registerSupport the effective management of the repositories for project data and documentation including , JIRA and SharePointMaintain and proactively use the central project register to govern at portfolio level, working closely with the Transformation Office.Establish and manage reviews through the IT health check process to drive quality assuranceSupport the process for Stage Gate Approvals and assist in preparing the project for a gateway review and sign offEnsure that the Halfords change request process is adhered to by Project Managers for all initiativesLog and track change requests on the project and ensure that impact is being assessedAssist in the creation of communications pieces, plans and approachSupport the management of the Business IT PMO mailboxAssist in the creation of portfolio and programme communications, plans and approachWork with key stakeholders, including the People Team, to ensure a smooth on-boarding process for any new resources to the Tech Delivery TeamSupport budget vs spend tracking and undertake Finance health checks with delivery managers (PM or VSDL) and Finance BPsMonitor the updating of budget trackers as capex invoices are processedCoordinate monthly capex accruals, submit to finance within required deadlinesSupport the monitoring and reporting of expected benefits (financial and otherwise) for Tech Delivery.Coordinate the process for timesheet submission, working with Delivery managers and Finance to ensure appropriate validation and reconciliation to finance trackersSupport the coordination and processing of RAFs, contracts and PO's for relevant contractor resource and 3rd Party SOWsSupport the process for supplier on-boarding and contract negotiations

Key Skills/Experience

Experience of providing high quality PMO supportUnderstanding of project management principles and lifecycle.In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, based on Prince 2 plus experience of Agile methodologiesExperience in the use of suitable PMO software and toolsGood attention to detailExcellent oral, written and presentation skills.Confident to present to small groups.Experience in managing project finances, tracking against budgetsConfident dealing with all levels of the organisationCollaborates wellExcellent Organisational skills.Qualifications – A recognised Project, Programme, PMO or Portfolio qualification 2, P30, APMP.
