Role: Permanent position, 4 day working week, Days regular

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join specialist manufacturing Client based in the Doncaster, you will be reporting to the Production Manager.

The Quality Control Team Leader will be:

  • Responsible for maintaining effective processes and controls.
  • Recognise and implement improvements through continuous monitoring.
  • Recognise and report quality issues.
  • Issue daily working instructions to Quality Control team.
  • Update Quality Control team with information by organising toolbox talks
  • Take pictures of completed conversions.
  • Organise 3rd party repairs if required.
  • Provide all tooling necessary to complete vehicle conversions, sourcing new or alternative equipment to improve the build process.
  • Ensure completed paperwork is handed to logistics daily.
  • Responsible for providing training, development and mentoring for Quality Control team
  • Maintain accurate training matrix for all staff.
  • Manage staff levels in line with business requirements communicating available capacity.
  • Carry out one to one’s for team members.
  • Manage issues including holidays, sickness, behaviour and performance appraisals in conjunction with the Compliance manager.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Review and update procedures to help improve efficiency.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols.
  • Support Supervisors with opening / locking up procedures.

Essential skills for the Quality Control Team Leader:

  • Have an ILM management qualification or equivalent
  • IOSH
  • Have good organisational skills.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills establishing team effort to a common objective.
  • Have a good understanding of the conversion process.
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to handle pressure and meet targets/ deadlines.
  • Needs to be flexible
