Mechanic
Location: UPS East Midlands Airport
As one of our GSE Mechanics, you’ll be essential to moving our world forward by helping to deliver what matters. The size and diversity of our GSE fleet means you’ll have plenty of room to develop and expand your skills further. From non-powered equipment right up to aircraft deck-loaders, cargo tractors and GPU's.
What you’ll get:
We’ll pay you between £17.94 - £19.36 per hour, depending on your experience, plus shift premiums* and location allowance* (if applicable). Successful candidates will receive a signing-on bonus of £1,000 (£500 upon commencing employment & £500 after month 6). There’s potential for overtime as well which is paid at time and a half. Work flexible shift patterns Expertly handle a variety of repairs and maintenance work on a large GSE fleet Carry out regular maintenance inspections, complete online records and stock control Work as part of a team with a focus on quality to achieve reliability and maintenance targetsWhat you’ll need:
City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Mechanics A background in airport Ground Support equipment Initiative, planning skills and a flexible, enthusiastic approach Full UK driving licence A C1, 7.5 tonne licence would be an advantage, though isn’t essentialIs this the challenge you've been waiting for?
