Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at UPS East Midlands Airport. As a GSE Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of Ground Support Equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertly handle a variety of repairs and maintenance work on a large GSE fleet
  • Carry out regular maintenance inspections, complete online records and stock control
  • Work as part of a team with a focus on quality to achieve reliability and maintenance targets

Requirements

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Mechanics
  • A background in airport Ground Support equipment
  • Initiative, planning skills and a flexible, enthusiastic approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A C1, 7.5 tonne licence would be an advantage, though isn't essential

What We Offer

  • We'll pay you between £17.94 - £19.36 per hour, depending on your experience, plus shift premiums* and location allowance* (if applicable)
  • Successful candidates will receive a signing-on bonus of £1,000 (£500 upon commencing employment & £500 after month 6)
  • Opportunity to complete a Workshop Manager Qualification whilst in employment subject to availability
  • Opportunity to avail of the Company employee referral scheme by recommending other Mechanics to UPS - £1,000 per candidate hired (£500 upon commencing employment & £500 after month 6)
