Take ownership over the health, safety and IT infrastructure of a number of EF International Language Campuses across UK and Ireland, ensuring a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for our students and staff.

Your role:

As Health, Safety& IT Manager, you will ensure that EF students and staff benefit from safe, secure, clean, and comfortable spaces while effectively implementing policies, procedures, and risk assessments in compliance with accreditation and regulations. You will foster a culture of excellence in Facilities and IT management across a number of sites in the UK/Ireland region, collaborating with suppliers for cost-effective solutions – all while prioritizing health and safety issues.

Who we’re looking for:

Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Support and Infrastructure Management Experience in infrastructure setup/migration projects Basic knowledge of Client/Server architecture and networking ITIL/communication-oriented training Experience with a globally distributed server and workstation environment in a 24x7 setting Passionate about our students and schools Enthusiastic about building management and IT infrastructure Highly motivated, proactive, flexible, and positive with an outgoing and confident personality Strong commercial awareness and customer management skills Confident with general maintenance, IT issues, and incident management Enjoys working in busy and varied environments within our schools Willing to travel around the region visiting schools and working with different teams Ability to work independently and as a confident decision maker Capable of handling difficult situations and remaining calm under pressure Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills Highly organized with attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Support School Directors in maintaining buildings in premium condition through routine checks and audits Arrange, lead, or assist with regular facilities meetings for school responsibilities, 3-4 times per year, in person or online Liaise with EF Global IT to support staff and students, ensuring networks across schools and residences are safe and functioning well Source new suppliers for services/goods to ensure economic running costs and optimal services Review suppliers/contractors annually to ensure services are performed correctly and competitively priced Assist with the setup of new or temporary teaching centers and residences to ensure facilities and IT provision meet requirements Provide day-to-day facilities cover if needed Support budget planning and review for facility and IT service improvements Review school facility-related risk assessments and ensure required follow-up actions are completed Stay updated with changing legal or accreditation requirements Maintain a central inventory of IT equipment for schools and the central team Promote e-safety for all students on our campuses Deliver training to all school staff Manage incidents and processes for IT outages, providing updates to customers and the IT team
