Education

Required Registered nurse diploma.

Certifications

Required Current registered nurse (RN) license in state ofpractice.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Certification in clinical specialtyarea.

JobDuties

Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery ofpatient care. Because the incumbent works within ahealthcare setting there may be an occupational risk for exposureto hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environmentthrough receipt transport storage preparation dispensingadministration cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. Therisk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential jobduties of the role.
