This is an exciting opportunity to join Merton Council and its friendly and dynamic public health team. This important post is part of the Senior Leadership Team and will offer a wide experience in Public Health including system and team leadership, public health and integrated commissioning and support exciting opportunities at sub-regional and place level.
The post holder will manage a team of senior commissioners and public health officers; with a portfolio that covers adults and older people, health improvement and prevention and substance misuse and mental health. They will work across the council including with Adult Social Care and with external partners such as SWL NHS ICB and the excellent voluntary sector in Merton to support the Health and Wellbeing Board’s and Merton Health and Care Together Committee's ambition of reducing health inequalities across Merton.
This post is a 12 month secondment/fixed-term contract, and potential candidates can request an informal discussion with Barry Causer on .
