We are looking for a full-time Asst. Practice Manager for our GP surgery. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the job, good people skills, a good grasp of IT and common software, be flexible in working hours, and be able to get on with people and be a good negotiator. The candidate will receive training on the job and be part of a well-respected, high-achieving, and CQC Outstanding practice. If you are a self-motivated, disciplined individual who can take ownership of the efficient day-to-day running of the service, supporting your Practice Manager and working as a key member of the Management Team, then we would love to hear from you. Main duties of the job
As a Deputy Practice Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice. You will be expected to cover the Practice Manager for a set period each year (to cover annual leaves) and run the practice in the absence of the Practice Manager. You will be involved in a wide range of activities, including HR, business planning, handling financial systems for the practice (including payroll), selecting, training, and supervising non-clinical staff, developing and supervising appointment systems that work well for patients and clinicians, ensuring accurate records are kept, and liaising with local health organizations such as clinical commissioning groups . You will also be responsible for developing strategies for the practice on issues such as computer systems and security, expanding or changing services, and long-term services. About us Half Penny Steps Health Centre is a well organised, efficient Practice, with a list size of 8000 and growing. We are based in a spacious building with 9 clinical rooms. There are excellent transport links .

You will be required to help Practice Manager and work independently
- Manage Admin and Clinical Team
- Help with CQC Compliance
-Complaints Handling and Management
-Attend and Represent Practice in PCN Meetings
-Attend Weekly Clinical Meetings and Schedule them
-Responsible for Medical Students, Registrars
- New Patients Registrations
-Attend Weekly Management Meetings
-Fill in Reception as and when required due to staff sicknesses or leave.
- Work with PM to deliver targets for KPIs, Enhanced Services, QOF etc
- Appointments Scheduling and arranging locums
- Any other work PM delegated to

Essential
SystmOne Experience in a GP Practice at an administrative Level , Minimum 2 Years.
