The primary responsibility of the Bid Manager is to develop with the regional sales teams bids/proposals for Small size Gas Turbine (SGT) driven equipment (Compressors, Generators or Pumps), along with the auxiliary equipment and extended scope for our Siemens Energy Industrial Products customer/client base. LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU Your profile Degree in engineering, including mechanical engineering/power engineering/process engineering or equal, with CEng status or working towards it, Centrifugal compressor awareness and selection capabilities could be an advantage, Fluent English skills in speaking and writing, Experience or education related to design/specification/operation of rotating machinery is an advantage, Positive, robust, tolerant, and cooperative personality, Strong team player with good communication, problem solving, creativity and critical thinking skills, Availability and willingness to start a permanent job in Lincoln, UK, Domestic and international travel is required to support training, project presentations, bid clarification and project kick off meetings,  Knowledge of an additional language like French, Spanish, Russian and/or German could be an advantage. Your responsibilities The major Responsibilities of the Proposal Manager covers: Coordination of a global and cross functional team of specialists providing bid/proposal support, Reviewing the customer Request For Quotation (RFQ) and Technical Specifications, Performing equipment selections including drivers, driven equipment and auxiliary systems, using different engineering tools, Fully configure and propose optimised solutions with tangible value proposition, Engage and negotiate with major sub-suppliers to create mutually beneficial customer solutions, Coordinate and participate in client clarification meetings and discussions, Complete the Risk Analysis Management process, Responsible for coordination of the price calculation, Assist the Sales Manager in developing Technical and Commercial strategies for the successful implementation of the Order Capture Process on a project by project basis, Support the Sales Manager with project or product presentations, Work with the different departments worldwide in order to identify and quantify risks, develop mitigating actions to those risks and prepare the technical/execution risk assessment form, Ensure the correct guarantees are included in the proposal and detail for management approvals, Conducts business affairs with the highest standards of ethics and integrity, Your opportunities for personal growth Good opportunities for personal challenges and possibility to make a career in an international corporation, Interesting and stimulating work tasks in an inspiring, international technical environment, Highly qualified co-workers who share their knowledge and experience with you, Pleasant work atmosphere and organisational culture based on trust, responsibility and respect,
