Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Principal PM Manager - Regional IT/IAM Programs, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's dedicated online services.
Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCPM, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. As a group, CO+I is focused on the personal and professional development for all employees and offers trainings and growth opportunities including Career Rotation Programs, Diversity & Inclusion trainings and events, and professional certifications.
Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters in 32 countries and millions of servers. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Significant years of industry work experience Significant years experience in developing and implementing programs in Datacenter Operations or related fields Experience developing and presenting executive level presentations and reportsPreferred Qualifications:
STEM college degree or certification in IT with equivalent work experience Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment Significant years’ experience in leading a diverse, technical team. Experience with Project and Program management in large complex, cross-functional organizations. Experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.). Experience in Data Center OperationsBackground Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Responsibilities
As a successful Principal PM Manager - Regional IT/IAM Programs , your performance objectives will consist of the following:
Managing a team of Senior-level Individual Contributors that are experts in their field Hands-on People Manager with a proven track record of leading intellectually capable PMs Attract, grow, and develop talent with a Growth Mindset Be empowered and accountable by modelling, coaching, and caring for your team Analyse and interpret program data to provide recommendations and strategic recommendations for datacenter-related operations models, support, and implementation plans Interpret customer requirements as they relate to standard operating procedures and drive parity between the two Collaborate across internal groups, external suppliers, and customers Document and improve processes around planning, implementation, operations, confidentiality, security, and compliance to ensure the work that is being done is securely, compliantly, efficiently, and per standards Participate in technical communities to stay informed of best practices and changes within the broader discipline and share them with the organization Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activities Establish and enhance strong working relationships with partner organizations Create and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on time delivery Plan, manage, and communicate end-to-end project plans with stakeholders and teams Perform day-to-day project check-in and updates to manage project delivery and quality Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution Gather and provide feedback on lessons learned, best practices, and innovations on process/procedures and tools to improve efficiencies and productivity Work with various Engineering, Operations, Electrical and Mechanical teams during project planning and execution Learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values.
