The VP International Family Care & Professional(IFP) Supply Chain is responsible for achieving the short and long-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall segment business plans and leading manufacturing operations (25 Mills across 17 countries), strategic supply chain transformation, process control, continuous improvement, and capital engineering. Additionally, this executive will represent IFP on the Enterprise Supply Chain Leadership Team.

The VP Supply Chain for IFP will evolve the strategies, best practices, processes and tools that create a world-class supply chain, across both direct and indirect reports. They will build networks with Enterprise Supply Chain and Centers of Excellence such as Procurement, Sustainability, Occ Health and Safety, Capital Engineering, Network Design, Value Stream and other partner stakeholders e.g. R&E to create end-to-end Supply Chain advantage.

The successful incumbent will have responsibility for circa 5,000 employees and will report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

The Impact You Can Make 

Provide overall leadership and direction across the supply chain for IFP.

Maintain effective community, government, industry and works council relations to assure strong partnerships, identify and mitigate potential issues, represent Kimberly-Clark’s interests and maintain and build Kimberly-Clark’s image in the broader communities in which we operate.

Maintain effective partnership with VP Enterprise Markets Supply Chain to ensure optimum service to the business in shared footprint markets.

Deliver major cost improvement and ensure the implementation of a set of clear and consistent world class cross-industry practices and best practice sharing across the mills in the segment. Build partnerships with country P&L leaders to advance manufacturing excellence and capability.

Provide overall safety leadership ensuring integration of safety capability and processes across manufacturing and distribution centres to reduce safety risk and embed a culture of safety accountability.

Integrating Supply Chain to deliver everywhere and connection from source to shelf, supplier to customer, procurement to manufacturing and logistics.

Identify tools, systems, and processes to standardize planning applications in the segment (in alignment with the global strategy) and ensure alignment between processes and manufacturing systems. Execute next generation of Lean Six Sigma strategy in the segment, driving competitive advantage in cost, quality, service and capacity.

Work with manufacturing leads and regional marketing sector leaders to plan capital, technology and strategic manufacturing footprint and capacity planning.

Determine the optimal make vs. buy strategy taking into consideration capital requirements, agility, complexity and access to innovation.

Upgrade talent and build career development framework to ensure recent progress is sustained.

Create responsive, agile and forward-looking planning capabilities across the end-to-end value chain

Successfully ensure that the systems and master data enable real time decision-making to optimize cash flow and working capital.

Ensure that customer requirements are fully understood, and a customer-centric mindset is inculcated across the value chain with multi-functional stakeholders such as Procurement, Research & Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and other functions.

Create a regional capability driving best-in-class cost and service performance.

Leverage best practices and common systems to drive regional transportation capability to leverage volumes.

Successfully execute industry-leading cost and service initiatives in the largest markets and selectively leverage these concepts to drive customer preference and cost advantage.

Create a world-class talent pool and partner for customers, suppliers and business units.

Build linkages with business units, customers and suppliers to ensure Supply Chain is a critical partner in driving organic growth and competitive cost advantage for the company.

Create a total Supply Chain mindset, working across the underlying functions and with Marketing, Research & Engineering, to ensure best-in-class design, quality, service and cost delivery.

Work to bring all aspects of an integrated supply chain together that ultimately includes all functions regionally.

Evolve career framework to develop leaders of the future; manage senior talent moves regionally.

Create a strong bridge and alignment with global stakeholders.

Continue to drive progress with K-C’s energy, environmental and overall sustainability strategy and programs.

Accelerate the implementation of the Continuous Improvement initiative with a focus on eliminating waste and driving out costs.
