The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of improvements to Planned Care across North Wales. The role will support delivery of a substantial portfolio areas including

Service Improvement and Performance Engagement, Consultation and Communication Service Analysis and Business Case Development Programme Management Service Model Development Financial Management Workforce Development/Human Resources.

The post holder will be part of the Health Boards senior management team and required to support the Associate Director of Planned Care deputising as required. This will include representing the organisation on a range of local, regional and national committees, working groups and teams. The post holder will represent the Associate Director and the Health Board at meetings of external bodies and multi-agency committees as required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead the development, planning and delivery of the operational model for planned care that covers, primary, community, secondary and social care and impact upon the total planned care expenditure of North Wales. Working with Executive Directors, Divisional Directors, senior clinicians and external partners, the post holder will support the development and implementation of integrated planned care strategies to manage and develop clinical services over the next fifteen years.

The post holder will be required to ensure the effective and inclusive engagement of staff, service users, patient representatives, carers, community and political leaders together with partner organisations including WG, local authorities, voluntary sector, independent sector and other NHS organisations. Provide briefings, presentations and formal written communications and represent the Health Board at a range of public and private meetings. Effectively manage challenge, address hostile responses and through negotiation and communication, develop consensus and support for new models of care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
