Job summary

Are you a qualifiedAssistant Practitioner looking to join a team of dynamic and caring professionals?

An opportunity has arisen to join the West CAMHS team based at Thurlow House in Kings Lynn. The team works in a recovery focused way with individuals who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties.

Our dynamic and collaborative team are based at Thurlow House in Kings Lynn. However, the team are required to travel to visit service users in surrounding areas. You'll be working alongside a close knit multi-disciplinary team consistent of multiple therapeutic modalities.

We provide a community-based service to Kings Lynn and surrounding areas; we have excellent working relationships with external agencies and partners who are all working together to develop recovery-based care plans.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be conscientious and do everything you can to provide patient centred care. You will work within the NSFT trust values and be able to meet deadlines to ensure that the service is delivered safely and effectively making sure service users obtain the support and care they need in a timely manner.

Our welcoming and collaborative team is recovery focused and works with a mixed caseload of male and female service users, who have complex mental health needs.

We're passionate about career progression, development and uncovering training opportunities - from the moment you join us, you will be supported to learn, develop and progress within your mental health career.

By joining our team, you will be well supported to develop further your knowledge and skills to deliver evidence-based interventions for the group of service users. Personal development will be supported through meaningful Appraisal and via a bespoke training package (a comprehensive in house & external training programmes). On a monthly basis you will be offered reflective practice sessions, mandatory clinical supervision, and Line management supervision. You will also have an opportunity to actively take part in Quality improvement projects within the service. There is also opportunities to enrol in local university training programmes in medication management as well as numerous other developmental opportunities.

My name is James Moss and I am the new Team Manager for the CAMHS Team. This is currently an exciting time for our team, as we develop our service to meet the needs of our young people in Norfolk.

In our service we support young people up until the age of 14 who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.
