Are you a qualified Band 4 Assistant Practitioner with ambitions to develop your career, or willing to complete the training? Do you hold a foundation degree in Health and Social care/Mental Health at level 5 or apprenticeship in H&SC/MH level 5 or have an equivalent type of training/qualification? Do you have a passion and desire for working with young people with mental health issues aged between 14-25?

We are looking for someone who is passionate, empathic, resilient, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written and who enjoys being part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team? If so, then this exciting opportunity to join our Community based Mental Health Team in Kings Lynn as an Assistant Practitioner, for a fixed term of 12 months to cover maternity leave, may be just what you have been looking for.

Day to day the role will involve core duties some of which are listed below:

- Providing one to one targeted treatment interventions both face to face within the community and via online platforms such as Attend Anywhere, Microsoft Teams, Zoom with young people and their families
- Establishing rapport, trust and clear goals with the young people and their families in order to help them recover and thrive
- Delivering care in line with the Thrive model encouraging resilience, growth and personal responsibility to enable young people to reach their goals
- Monitoring of young people on our waiting list for treatment. Patient safety is incredibly important to us here at Thurlow House and this task allows us to make sure this top priority is met
- Working alongside senior colleagues to provide support with treatment plans, assessments and other work with young people
- Actively taking part in team meetings and reflective sessions so we can learn, grow and improve together
