The Director, Head of AM Strategy and Corporate Management for EMEA and Americas reports to the Global Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff for HSBC AM. The role holder will lead the AM's EMEA and Americas Strategy team and will be a member of the AM Strategy and Corporate Management Leadership team. The primary responsibilities include overseeing global strategy projects and corporate management activities for the EMEA and Americas regions. The position necessitates a proactive can-do attitude with a growth mindset. You must be a team player who feels at ease interacting with globally based senior stakeholders.

In this role you will:

• Develop strategy plans for HSBC AM, outlining ambitions, priorities, investments, and delivery plans.

• Lead AM's strategy aspects of M&A projects, including market analysis, target identification, financial modelling, and project management.

• Supervise competitor analysis to identify industry trends and inform strategic planning.

• Develop an MI and analytics framework to identify opportunities and risks within HSBC AM.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure progress against plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Essential: Proven experience in strategy and corporate development, whether within an internal strategy team or in a consulting/banking setting.

• Essential: Thorough comprehension of Asset Management industry, including client base, capabilities, operational matters, with a preference for Asset Management experience.

• Proficiency in financial modelling, solid grasp of financial accounting and Excel skills. Background in analytics and demonstrated ability in maintaining analytical rigor, including data contextualization, and drawing conclusions pertinent to HSBC AM business environment.

• Familiarity with the Market - regulatory, political, competitor, and economic landscape.

• Proactive approach with a growth-oriented mindset, at ease engaging with senior stakeholders worldwide.

This is a hybrid working role with the base location as London. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement for international travel.
