EC&I Designer

Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is currently recruiting for an Electrical, Control and Instrument (EC&I) Designer with experience in CAD Instrument Drafter with experience in the oil and gas industry to support our UK project.

This 4 year project forms part of a 5 year client contract with a potential and likely 3 year extension.

The role is intended as home based with the option to work from any Wood office in the UK if preferred, mobility and travel to customer sites and face to face meetings with colleagues will be expected as required.

Must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

This person must be capable of working with minimal direct supervision and have experience of taking site surveys. 

Will be working with the project Instrument Design Engineers to design all the instrument and control works assigned and ensure all drafting works are completed in accordance with the approved project schedule, standards and within allocated man-hours.


Educated to HNC / HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a chartered engineering & member of an appropriate institute. Proficiency in AutoDesk AutoCAD and MS products; Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook Good level of industrial experience working in; P&ID, Loop drawings, ISOs Drafting Currently SC security cleared. Experience on the Sellafield Site Experience of localised guaranteed non interruptible supplies Understanding of Fibre Optic systems Communications Experience 4G knowledge Knowledge of CIMAGE
