London, United Kingdom Aldermore Bank PLC Full time

Let us tell you a bit about us

We’re Aldermore – the award-winning bank, trusted and highly rated by over a quarter of a million customers for more than a decade. With our range of specialist mortgages, savings accounts and business finance solutions, we're backing more people to go for it.

We thrive by saying “yes” to our customers. We respect the ingenuity of entrepreneurs and their startups; we give first-timers a leg-up onto the property ladder; we open up the lending market to many; and thousands of customers chose Motonovo Finance every week to buy their next car, van or motorbike.

This is where you come in. We are on a journey. A journey defined by a destination; to deliver on our purpose.

Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity

This role will help us manage our regulatory transaction reporting and exceptions management obligations under regulations such as MiFIR, EMIR and SFTR.

This will include designing and operating appropriate processes and controls, liaising with internal and external stakeholders,  conducting quality assurance, and providing support to Treasury Change projects.

As a key member of the Treasury team, the role holder will play a critical role in ensuring that Aldermore Treasury remains compliant with regulatory requirements, shaping our strategy, objectives and ways of working to support the growth and activities of the Group Treasury Function.

What will your day look like?

  • Operating Treasury Transaction Reporting processes and controls, including operating the exception management processes, escalating issues, running daily reconciliations and checking and challenging the Transaction Reporting processes
  • Liasing with internal and external stakeholders to rectify any errors or omissions in our Transaction Reports
  • Ensuring Transaction Reporting Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures are complete, up-to-date and regularly reviewed
  • Collating key departmental Management Information on behalf of the Transaction Reporting team
  • Supporting Regulatory Change projects that impact the Transaction Reporting team
  • Assisting with preparing for, and presenting at, the Transaction Reporting Working Group

What do we expect from you

  • Experience of Transaction Reporting within a banking environment or Treasury Function, including familiarity with the key products and regulations related to trade and transaction reporting, including good knowledge of the MiFIR, EMIR and SFTR regimes.
  • Knowledge of the governance and processes required to evidence compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, with good knowledge of excel and/or other analytical tools with good attention to detail
  • Good stakeholder management and great written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimum supervision
  • Enthusiastic team player, with the drive and determination to deliver practical solutions within a pressurised environment

What can you expect from us?

  • A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how we work with our customers.
  • A growing organisation that means there’s lots of opportunities to progress
  • A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
  • And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a good range of core benefits and bonus potential.

Still curious?

Join us and we’ll make the same promises to you as a colleague, as we do to each of our customers. We’re committed to building a working environment that values respect, diversity, and compassion. We welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you’re pregnant or on family leave.

Please note that we have a thorough referencing process, which includes criminal record checks.
