TYPE: OnSite (Relocation is Paid) THE CHALLENGE:
Weare seeking a skilled and detailoriented Plastics Operator to joinour team. The ideal candidate will operate plastics extrusionequipment efficiently and safely including line setups changeoversstartups and continuous operation. The Plastics Operator will playa crucial role in ensuring the production of highquality productsthat meet or exceed customer expectations.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operateplastics extrusion equipment including line setups changeoversstartups and continuous operation.
Ensure the safe andefficient operation of manufacturing equipment performingpreventative maintenance as required.
Maintain a cleanorganized and safe work environment within thedepartment.
Assist in the training of new employees onsafety procedures equipment operation materials handling qualitystandards packaging power lifts and departmentalprocedures.
Perform departmental PreventativeMaintenance assignments.
Conduct basic troubleshootingof extrusion machinery and plastics processes.
Adhere tostandard operating procedures control plans safety andenvironmental procedures.
Comply with Quality StandardISO/TS 16949 Environmental Standard ISO 14001 and BRC/IOPcertification standards.
Monitor and ensure the qualityof work in process semifinished and finished products in accordancewith control plan specifications.
Participate in 6Sinitiatives related to departmental cleanliness organization andsafety.
Contribute to Six Sigma and Lean initiatives tooptimize manufacturing processes.
Maintain accuracy inproduction reporting downtime tracking sampling and dataentry.
Interface and cooperate with other departmentsparticipating in crosstraining and obtaining secondary jobcertifications. ESSENTIAL SKILLS &REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of manufacturing and/or relatedmachine operation experience.
High School diploma orequivalent.
Demonstrated ability to work within a teamand complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability toread and understand working instructions and procedures.
Basic computer literacy.
Effective verbal and writtencommunication skills.
Proficiency in the Englishlanguage including speaking reading andcomprehension.
