LAC Teacher

We have immediate start referrals for tutors able to provide face-to-face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a professional and committed tutor to support students with SEMH challenges for a minimum of 10 hours per week (with flexibility to increase if needed).
As a 1:1 tutor, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and providing individualised programmes for students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in working with students who have SEMH challenges
- Able to conduct baseline assessments to determine current levels of progress
- Confident in working with residential staff, social workers, and other local authority professionals
- Able to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to keep students motivated and interested in their education
- Capable of providing emotional support to vulnerable children and being a positive role model
- Committed to the education and well-being of these vulnerable young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
