1:1 Tutor for Vulnerable Pupils in Derbyshire

We have immediate start referrals for tutors able to provide face-to-face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas. We are seeking a professional and committed tutor to support students with SEMH challenges for a minimum of 10 hours per week (with flexibility to increase if needed).

As a 1:1 tutor, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and providing individualised programmes for students.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in working with students who have SEMH challenges
  • Able to conduct baseline assessments to determine current levels of progress
  • Confident in working with residential staff, social workers, and other local authority professionals
  • Able to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to keep students motivated and interested in their education
  • Capable of providing emotional support to vulnerable children and being a positive role model
  • Committed to the education and well-being of these vulnerable young people
