Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Scarborough
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Part Time or Full Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £83 – £100 per day*

Do you have experience supporting children or adults with speech, language and communication needs?

GSL Education is working exclusively with a Special Needs School in Scarborough and are seeking to employ Speech and Language Teaching Assistants for 1:1 and small group support. GSL Education are one of England’s leading education recruitment providers, with over 24 years of experience in the sector. Our North Yorkshire Office services Special Needs School, Pupil Referral Units and mainstream Secondary Schools across Scarborough, York, Selby and the surrounding areas. As a company, we work closely with Head Teachers and SENCOs to ensure the staff provided and right for each individual setting.

As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will be working with young people with Education Health Care Plans in place, to develop and promote their communication skills. This will be through the use of sensory equipment, PECs and Makaton.
