Big Data Engineer - Azure, Python, HPCC/ECL

I am working with a well known brand who is looking to secure the services of an experienced Big Data Engineer. This will be a Multi year project working with cutting edge tech.

Role: Big Data Engineer - Azure, Python, HPCC/ECL
Rate: £550 - £580 per day
Location: London, however can be remote
Duration: 12 months, this will extend
Status: Inside IR35

Overview
This role involves advanced research, design, and software development. It's a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology that simplifies Big Data management. You'll be responsible for extracting, loading, cleansing, translating, and analysing large datasets, using the latest tools and techniques. The role also includes migrating processes and applications to Azure. You'll collaborate with skilled colleagues and internal stakeholders to deliver a product that exceeds customer expectations.

Skills
- Hands on experience on Cloud Technologies – Azure/ AWS. 
- Ability to work with complex data models. 
- Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and JSON. 
- Familiarity of industry best practices — code coverage. 
- Experience working in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) 
- Experience working with Git – GitLab/GitHub. 
- Knowledge of test-driven development.  
- Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Experience in HPCC/ECL is highly preferable
