A Key Stage 1 Teacher is required for a school in Walthamstow in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The school offers support for children with a wide range of special physical, educational and behavioural needs, and difficulties.
The school are determined to provide all children and young people with a positive experience, to achieve their full potential, to support their next stage in education, training, employment, supported or independent living.
The school are looking for an enthusiastic member to join their team and become a part of their inclusive and supportive community. You will work alongside a dynamic central office team, who are experts in SEND and wider educational provisions. You must be committed, hard-working and inspirational.
Duties and responsibilitiesAs a Key Stage 1 Teacher, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Developing lessons in line with curriculum requirements and ensuring students are well prepared for the demands of national examinations.Work closely with the pupil to create an individualized learning plan based on their specific needs, abilities, and goals.Provide tailored educational support and guidance to enhance the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.Implement specialized teaching strategies to address the unique learning styles and challenges associated with ASC.Preparing regular reports for parents and attending parent’s meetingsBehaviour and classroom managementCollaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the pupil's education to ensure a holistic approach to their development.Monitor the pupil's progress regularly, track their achievements, and provide feedback to stakeholders.Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
