Step Teachers are working with a consistently "Good" Ofsted-rated specialist provision school in Waltham Forest. They are seeking a qualified SEN Teacher to join their team immediately or in September 2024. The school supports student right through their academic career from 2 - 19 years old. The school is eager to find an SEN Teacher who is organised, creative and ready to engage their students with fun, play-based learning. 

The school enrolls students with a range of needs from complex learning difficulties, ASD and complex physical/sensory impairments. 

SEN Teacher - Role:
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and other members of staff throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
SEN Teacher - Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
  • Have recent experience as an SEN Teacher
  • Be adaptable and create lessons according the individual needs of your students
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children
