A highly achieving primary school in Salisbury, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Teacher to join their permanent staff from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a passionate newly qualified teacher to become part of a supportive and dynamic school community.

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the academic and personal development of all students. They will work closely with other staff members to uphold the school’s high standards and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students’ learning and development.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and ethos, contributing to a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience in teaching at the primary level (experience can include placements for newly qualified teachers).
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
