Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, Planning Team Leader to join us on 4 on 4 off shift pattern for our Tesco contract based in Widnes. .
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of our transport function.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,391 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead a team for a defined number of Planners at Tesco Widnes.
- Assign responsibility to Planners at the beginning of the shift
- Run the Delivery Service Operation as part of the Leadership Team
- Ensure fleet is efficiently managed and forward planning availability.
- Manage Driver hours and utilisation
- Work in partnership with the shift managers to protect service levels
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- previous experience within a complex, fast-paced transport / logistics operation in a planning position
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving
