Our clientis seeking a dynamic and experienced professional tojoin their team as the Head of Department for Housing Disrepair. Asthe Head of Department you will be responsible for leading adedicated team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of theirhousing disrepairdivision.

Responsibilities:
  • Providestrategic direction and leadership to the housing disrepairdepartment ensuring the effective management and resolution ofhousing disrepaircases.
  • Developand implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance withrelevant laws regulations and industry bestpractices.
  • Buildand maintain strong relationships with clients including tenantslandlords and legal representatives to facilitate the efficientresolution of housing disrepaircases.
  • Managea team of professionals including solicitors paralegals and supportstaff and provide guidance mentorship and training asrequired.
  • Collaboratewith other departments within the organization to streamlineprocesses and ensure efficient service delivery toclients.
  • Stayupdated with changes in housing laws and regulations andproactively adapt department strategies to reflect thesechanges.
  • Monitordepartment performance analyse key metrics and implementimprovements to enhance productivity and achieve departmentalgoals.

Requirements
  • Ideallyyou will be a qualified Solicitor or Fellow of the CharteredInstitute of Legal Executives. However candidates that areexperienced running a caseload postlitigation will also beconsidered.
  • Civillitigation experience and good working knowledge of the civilprocedure rules and fasttrack
  • Experienceof advising on legal issues within an inhouse legal environment orsimilar
  • Proficientuser of Microsoft packages including Word Excel Outlook PowerPointandTeams
