Job Description

We are looking for a kind, compassion individual who is keen on making a positive difference to the lives of those around them, to join our Live-In care team, here at Home Instead Aylesbury Vale.

The primary aim of the care we provide for this lovely lady is to allow her to stay within her own home. Regular tasks can include:

Bathing & personal grooming  Companionship  Dementia care  Helping with mobility  Helping to keep the client active  Light housework  Meal preparation and monitoring of clients diet  Medication reminders  Running errands  Toilet & continence care  Trips out of the house 

As a live-in Carer you will be responsible for providing care throughout the day. While the list above outlines the potential tasks which are required, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the client can continue to live life to the full in their own home.

The client is mobile, but may require some encouragement and guidance, although they keen to continue moving around their home.

They enjoy watching a bit of TV and are keen on quiz shows.

Qualifications

This role requires at least one year of experience in a care setting or a similar role. However what we look for most is someone with a kind compassionate heart, who wants to make a real difference to the quality of life for our clients. 

The role also will require you to have a valid UK driver's licence and access to your own vehicle. This is a requirement where you will need to run errands or provide transportation to and from appointments, etc. A company pool care is available for an additional cost.

As a Live-In Carer, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay in and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, you will be offered comprehensive training by the company as well as round-the-clock support, including out-of-hours.
