Transport Supervisor

At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we have a vacancy for a Tranport Supervisor based at our Mitchell Depot.

The position of Transport Supervisor involves:

Assist the Depot Manager to manage and motivate the transport team to ensure that staff and assets are used effectively to attain maximum performance in terms of commercial contract efficiency, profit, and client service levels. Dealing with key contacts within our pallet network hub. Identifying peaks and troughs within the Business Area and identify areas of improvement. Meeting on a regular basis with the Depot Manager, Warehouse, and Transport Operatives to ensure these areas are operating as efficiently as possible. Continuous improvement, identifying and developing areas where we can add value to existing contracts. Assist in conducting annual PDR interviews with staff. Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety. Assist in establishing KPIs for the transportation department, tracking metrics, and reporting performance to senior management. Assist with compliance planning in line with company procedure. Attend customer reviews and produce required statistics for meetings. Direct assistance and support for breakdowns. Assist in leading and motivating the transportation team, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a positive work environment to achieve departmental goals. Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings with direct reports.
