Job description

Casual vacancies working term time only, typically 5 hours per week.

Location:
City wide at Schools and young peoples organisations across Bristol.


Would you like to make a positive difference to children in Bristol by helping them to understand the road, traffic and how they can gain skills to keep themselves safe while out and about in our City and grow to independent travellers? Then this is the job for you. 


You will join a new team to help develop and deliver road safety sessions to Primary aged children. 


As part of a of 4 you will deliver these sessions at schools across the City. You will need to be able to communicate clearly for easy understanding across a range of ages and abilities.


You should be able to work effectively and independently with a range of children in what can be a distracting environment to ensure maximum learning and understanding takes place.


This role will give you a feeling of making a difference as you see work with children to empower them to make good decisions about how they interact with the road, traffic and other travellers. It is a fun job and no two days are the same. 


Road Safety is a key life skill and can sometimes be overlooked in our busy day to day journeys. This is an opportunity to put it centre stage and really have an impact and help us achieve our Vision Zero targets to ensure no-one is killed or seriously injured on our roads. 

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
