If you have experience in either a residential, nursing home, working with adults with PMLD and would like to enhance your skills further then this could be the right opportunity for yourself. We offer a very attractive pay package for experienced care workers including unsocial hour payments. We will also consider any flexible working requests.

It is not essential that you have experience in care rather the enthusiasm to make a difference and you will be well supported in developing the required skills to enhance and support our residents' daily lives.

Main duties of the job

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

Awareness of health and safety at work Awareness of issues relation to supporting individuals with a profound learning disability Care certificate or relevant work both paid or unpaid in a care delivery environment or willingness to undertake further study.

Desirable

Standard IT Skills Care Certificate or NVQ 2 in Health or Social care

Experience

Essential

Experience of working in a care setting or with the public in either paid or voluntary setting Good Communication skills

Experience of working with people with a learning disability
