Main duties of the job

The Band 7 Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse is a rewarding role. You will be pivotal in the department striving to achieve and maintain the highest standards of care for all our patients within the Minor injuries Unit . You will lead our dynamic, multi- disciplinary team on a daily basis, ensuring the smooth running of shifts in a challenging and diverse environment. Your clinical leadership and people skills are vital to delivering the responsibilities and accountabilities outlined in our job description.

The successful candidate would be required to hold an NMC Registration and provide evidence of professional development. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is essential.

Teaching skills are essential as the Department supports newly qualified staff as part of a successful recruitment process.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Registered Nurse (Part 1) Current NMC Registration Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience) Pertinent postgraduate diploma (or equivalent development/ experience AND a willingness to undertake appropriate post graduate level study when in post) Bronze IQT Teaching/ Coaching qualification (or equivalent experience) Knowledge of legislation pertinent to role
