About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of growing the agency’s client portfolio. With a strategic mindset, commercial awareness, and a love for storytelling, you’ll identify and secure new business opportunities, lead client conversations, and shape engaging proposals. This role demands a confident communicator and creative thinker, able to build relationships and close deals from the initial outreach stage through to final contracting.
Your Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Proactively reach out to build a robust pipeline of potential clients, leveraging your understanding of market trends and the agency’s unique value proposition.
- Pitching & Proposals: Lead proposal creation and confidently pitch solutions that align with clients’ visions and exceed their expectations.
- Client Relationships: Nurture strong relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and ambassador for the agency’s powerful, technology-driven experiences.
- Strategic Insight: Analyse industry trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies and align opportunities with company goals.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records in the CRM (experience with HubSpot is a plus) to streamline sales processes and track KPIs.
- Experience: 5+ years in business development within a creative, event production, or event tech agency.
- Sales Success: Proven ability to convert new business opportunities, especially with senior stakeholders and through cold outreach.
- Creative Expertise: Skilled in leading client discussions, qualifying opportunities, and pitching ideas that inspire.
- Industry Contacts: Existing relationships within major brands and the experiential sector are highly advantageous.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive, structured approach to work with the flexibility to excel in a hybrid role.
