The shift pattern is Mon – Fri, 9 - 5
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stobhill Mental Health Inpatients for a Specialist Dietician. This role of the Specialist Dietitian in Mental Health comprises of 3 broad functions; assessment and clinical treatment, health improvement and support and training to others to ensure consistency in practice in the delivery of evidence based nutritional care. The post holders will be the main source of professional advice within inpatient wards and work collaboratively with medical and nursing staff, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Pharmacists and maintain professional links with the AHP Professional Lead. You will require highly developed skills of communication negotiation and motivation to appropriately influence the direction and delivery of clinically effective nutritional care. You will work as an autonomous clinician within defined area of Mental Health and take full responsibility for a specific caseload and use expert clinical judgment to priorities patients with highly complex needs and compromised nutritional status.
