Support Worker,  The Manse, Lower Freystop. £11.60 to £11.80 dependent upon experience. 

Full Time: 38 hours per week

Orbis Education & Care provides specialist care and education services for children and adults with complex needs that are associated with autism. We know that when you support people as a whole, they can be the very best and happiest version of themselves every day. We take adperson-centred approach to everything we do; focusing on personal strengths, interests, and aspirations to empower children to enjoy a life that is active, socially valued and fulfilling.

Located in the small friendly village of Freystop, on the outskirts of Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, The Manse is a spacious home for up to 5 adults from age 18.

A day in the life of working at The Manse includes:

Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment; Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration; Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones; Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs; Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise; General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation;

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships; Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs; A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team; Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes; Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts;

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
