The Role:

As a First Line Manager (FLM), reporting to the Production Manager, you will be accountable for supporting the Line Structure Teams implementing the IWS ways of working, day & night, delivering against clearly defined standards & outputs.

This role operates a Flexi Rota Pattern 24/7

Some key responsibilities will include:

Taking personal responsibility for Health, Safety, and environment out of hours

Responsibility for the site out of hours, 7 days a week, ensuring all our colleagues are safe & products are compliant.

Coaching the teams on IWS Ways of working such as problem solving & Daily Management SystemsSupporting the Line Structure Teams by leading & managing colleagues out of hours to achieve delivery of the plan.Collaborating closely with your Line Lead colleagues, ensuring that all colleagues are supported across 24 hours, 7 days a week. Role modelling servant leadership & coaching the teams to build capability & create ownership, supporting the delivery of our Compelling Business Need.Providing guidance & support & acting as the ‘go to’ person for any escalation out of hours & working closely with the out of hours maintenance team.

Flexi Shift Pattern :
14 days (7 day shifts then 7 night shifts) followed by 9 days off.

12 hour shifts with weekends (there may be an expectation to work additional shifts depending on workload).

The Candidate:

Strong people management skillsExperience dealing with absence, disciplinary, grievance…Proven track record in delivering against production and manufacturing KPIs/SLAsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and IWS/ Six Sigma is desirable.Current work experience in the Food industry would be desirable.From a lean manufacturing background also desirableExperience at a supervisory/leadership levelFlexibility for shift working patterns and extended cover shifts.Strong communication and motivational skillsCustomer focused and able to meet internal/external requirements.
