Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Pay: £90 - £110 Per Day

Location: Vale of Glamorgan

Hours: 8:30-15:30

Duration: Full Time (Monday-Friday)

Start Date: September 2024

 

A warm and caring Primary School in the Penarth area are working alongside Teaching Personnel to recruit a HLTA on a full-time basis to start in September. The position is in a Primary School that places a high priority on the well-being of it’s pupils. and will be covering classes within KS2. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be expected to cover other classes and year groups when needed.

Main Responsibilities

• Leading small groups of pupils or the whole class.

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and leading intervention groups.

• Arranging classroom activities which will include planning and setting out resources.

• Providing verbal and written feedback on the classroom session for the teaching staff.

• Developing and motivating the pupils to help increase their learning progress.

To Apply For This Position, You Must Have

• Experience working as a HLTA in a Primary school (i.e., covering classes in Teacher absence) and/or a CACHE Level 3 qualification

• Two professional references

• Child-only DBS on the update service and EWC registered (TP can help with this)

• Great behavior and organizational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
