Job responsibilities
Southampton Childrens Hospital is part ofUniversity Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust one of the largestteaching trusts in the country. We are a major centre for specialist paediatricservices in the south of England, providing acute specialist care not only toour local population in Southampton but for a much larger area, including theIsle of Wight and the Channel Islands.
Our specialist paediatric consultants, nurses andwider healthcare teams offer a wide range of diagnosis, treatment and supportfacilities for children and their parents.
Specialism/Training:
Awareness of responsibilities formanagement of infection control

About you:
To apply for this post, you will:
Havea minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 5 level Paediatric Nurse in ahospital environment within the last 2 years
Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keepup to date with current nursing practices
Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation toenable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of theindividual
Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordancewith NMC and CHS policies
Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance withCHS policy and NMC guidelines
Carry out nursing procedures and techniques inaccordance with agreed policies and standards
Undertake regular mandatory training
