Your road to success

Left or right, you will have the ability to identify ways to exploit the use of knowledge, process and systems in order to resolve business issues and challenges, maximise the benefit of investment, reduce operating costs and achieve corporate objectives thoroughly. You will become the local triage and resolution of application support tickets. Augmenting information and test cases for tickets that need to be progressed to other support levels. Driving the supply chain to deliver, ensuring the service delivers to the quality required – including reviewing quality and performance. Critically analyse existing process or process gaps, analysing, documenting and proposing solutions for business or system topics at all levels of complexity. You can do this as an Application Support & Testing Analyst with full focus on:

Supporting the Application and Business/Incident Management; Testing Coordination: Developing strong relationships with colleagues and business users to delivery of the mapping and constant development of the business processes; Service Operations: Delivering key application support / triage to the UK users of key systems; Changes / Request Management: Understand the business value chain. Working cross-divisional as required, to ensure accurate alignment to the needs of our business and its customers; Third party engagements: Interface with various internal units within Athlon, other markets and Head Office; Coaching, Mentoring and Developing Colleagues: Driving the business forwards utilising influencing, mentoring and applying experience and industry good practice to challenges.

What do you take with you as Application Support & Testing Analyst for at least 37.5 hours per week? Above all, we are looking for someone who will act as key “owner” for testing initiatives of various sizes, through proactive engagement, problem diagnosis, change management and evaluation activities as well as coordinating and tracking testing through to completion. You will also have the ability to work in a changing environment where ambiguity exists and judgement calls are required to determine the way forward. In addition:

Experience of working with software products – ideally Miles from Sofico, product suppliers and outsourced solution providers; Deep Knowledge of, IT operations, outsourced partner management, measuring and managing performance, KPIs and escalation working with the ITIL framework; Understanding of data structures, data mapping and interface development; Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts; Experience of serving as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software DevOps teams; Experience in testing coordination and delivery of testing within set timelines; Awareness of automated testing / Robotic Process Automation; Experience of liaising between the business units, technology teams and support teams; Strong presentation and facilitation skills; Strong Supplier Management Skills; Ability to work under pressure and deal with many tasks simultaneously.
