What does the role look like?

You will ensure the highest quality standards during the relocation of production lines and products across our global manufacturing sites. This role involves meticulous quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and risk management to prevent defects and ensure product consistency.

As a key member of the work transfer team, the Quality Engineer leads quality-related aspects of transfer projects, from initial risk assessment to final validation at new locations. Responsibilities include developing quality plans, overseeing process validations, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will require extensive international travel to the receiving sites of work transfers.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

Quality Assurance: Oversee quality aspects of work transfer projects, ensuring products meet standards and specifications. Develop and implement quality plans aligned with project objectives. Quality Systems: Design and manage quality systems and processes to ensure regulatory and industry compliance. Maintain essential documentation, including control plans and inspection reports. Risk Management: Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate quality issues during transfers. Process Validation: Lead validation and verification of manufacturing processes to meet standards before full-scale production. Supplier Management: Ensure suppliers' processes meet quality standards. Conduct audits, evaluate performance, and lead development initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Use Lean and Six Sigma to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with quality standards and regulations. Stay updated and implement necessary adjustments. Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to integrate quality assurance throughout the transfer process. Training: Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards and tools to teams at both sites. Metrics and Reporting: Monitor key quality metrics and report to management on performance, challenges, and progress.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with expertise in root cause analysis and effective solutions implementation. Effective communication skills for conveying quality standards and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive with a strong drive to achieve project goals and improve processes.

Desirable skills :

Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, quality control processes, and relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA). Proficiency in statistical analysis, statistical process control (SPC) tools, and quality-related software. Proven experience in quality engineering, particularly in manufacturing environments, including work transfer projects. Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, with a proven record of enhancing quality and efficiency. Familiarity with international quality standards and managing quality across diverse geographical and regulatory environments. Strong project management skills, capable of leading cross-functional quality projects. Experience in supplier quality management, including conducting audits and leading supplier development programs. Detail-oriented with unwavering attention to regulatory and compliance requirements. Certifications such as CQE, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt), ISO 9001 auditor, or PMP. Experience in the aerospace industry and managing international projects.
