About theRole

As Head of RE you will beresponsible for leading the department with vision and dynamism.You will play a pivotal rolein:

  • Shaping theDepartments Vision and Direction:Developing astimulating and engaging RE curriculum across all key stages (KS3KS5) that aligns with the schools ethos and national curriculumrequirements.
  • Inspiring andMotivating Staff:Providing strong leadership andfostering a collaborative and supportive team environment whereteachers can thrive.
  • DeliveringExceptional RE Lessons:Igniting students curiosityabout different religions and philosophies through highqualityengaging lessons.
  • RaisingStandards and Achieving ExcellentOutcomes:Monitoring student progress identifyingareas for improvement and implementing effective strategies toensure all students reach their fullpotential.
  • Contributing to theWider School Community:Leading RE clubs or trips andactively participating in school initiatives that enrich the livesof students.

AboutYou

  • Qualified TeacherStatus (QTS) in RE or a relevant subject with demonstrableexperience teaching RE.
  • A minimum of 35 yearsexperience teaching RE at a secondary schoollevel.
  • Proven leadership skillswith the abilityto motivate inspire and leada team ofteachers.
  • A strong track record of raisingstandards in RE and achieving excellent studentoutcomes.
  • Excellent communication interpersonaland organizational skills.
  • A passion for RE anda commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment forall students.
