Sous Chef - Contract Catering site - Aldershot, no late nights

Are you looking for a new challenge within a leading contract catering company?

We're looking for a Sous Chef to join a great team working for a well-known contract catering company based at a defence unit in Aldershot, this site caters for around 100 covers, so it is bulk catering and a busy unit.

Location: ALDERSHOT, HAMPSHIRE
Salary: £13.83 per hour (£28,766.40)
Shifts: 40 HOURS A WEEK, STRAIGHT SHIFTS, 6AM UNTIL 230PM or 1030AM UNTIL 7PM

This role is offering straight shifts and a great work/life balance. Working around 1 in 3 weekends, 40 hours a week shifts being either early which is 6am until 230pm and the late shift is 1030am until 7pm

Duties will include:
* To take some responsibility for all elements of the kitchen including preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.
* To supervise catering staff.
* To set and maintain standards.
* To ensure the kitchen is kept in a clean tidy and hygienic state.
* To liaise with customers, to ensure their needs are being met from sales through to delivery.
* To liaise with customers, to ensure all dietary requirements are catered for.
* To respond to feedback from customers and amend menus as appropriate.
* To create a range of interesting menus for both adults and children along with Executive Chef and catering team
* To receive training that is necessary to maintain and improve the standards of the establishment.
* Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the organisation

To be successful, you'll need to have:
* Previous experience as a Chef
* Food Hygiene certificate and Food allergen training
* Knowledge of health and safety issues (COSHH etc) - further training can be given
* A real passion for hospitality and delivering great service
* Able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
* Team player and able to work in busy environments
