As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of young children. You will work closely with the Nursery Teacher to create a positive learning environment, assist with daily activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities.
  • Support children in their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Prepare and maintain the nursery environment to meet the needs of the children.
  • Encourage positive behavior and promote social interactions among children.
  • Observe and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.

Requirements:

Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant:

  • A relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A positive and caring attitude, with a passion for working with children.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic understanding of child development and early years learning.

Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early years curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver activities that meet the needs of individual children.
  • Commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment.
