A Reception Teaching Assistant is urgently needed by Step Teachers to provide support for a Reception class. This position is scheduled to start immediately on a supply basis. It is important to mention that the ideal candidate must have experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN). Reception Teaching Assistant - Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
  • Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessments to track student progress and inform future interventions.

Reception Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Reception Teaching Assistant in KS1.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or special needs support are highly desirable.
