Reception Supervisor - New Opening - Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Location: THE PIG - and The Village Pub, Barnsley, Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Salary: From £12.29 Per Hour (DOE), plus service charge

Hours: Full Time, 45 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible to cover some rota weekends.

Contract Type: Permanent

In January 2024, we acquired the 17th century Barnsley House hotel that is tucked away in the quintessential Cotswold's village of Barnsley, just four miles from Cirencester. THE PIG - and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.

We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG - and The Village Pub and are seeking for a Reception Supervisor to join our team.

The Role:

This is not a 'behind the desk' role. As Receptionist Supervisor you will be on your feet, working throughout the public areas to be the first point of contact for our hotel guests. We are looking for someone who loves to make guests smile every day and has high standards of service and great attention to detail. Communication is key, alongside our Reception Manager you will lead by example, supporting the training and development of the team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• On your feet, working in all public area's ensuring guests are attended to. We do not have a sit-down reception desk - our desks are podiums.
• Providing a detailed service with a relaxed and informal approach.
• Answer incoming calls, liaising with all departments with regards to any guests needs.
• Liaising with our Central Reservations team with regards to guest booking and requests.
• Answer and respond to guest queries via email.
• Provide a warm welcome to guests, guiding them to their room, providing a detailed room introduction.
• Support the Reception Manager with the training and development of the team.
• Carryout any additional duties assigned by the Reception Manager.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience as a Hotel Reception Supervisor or within a similar role is required. All applicants must have some experience using reservation systems. We are seeking for people with a positive, can-do attitude, eager to learn and develop their skills.
