Therapist III (ResidentialTreatment) Provide specialized mental health &/oralcohol and other drug services including Mental Health AssessmentChemical Dependency or Dual Diagnosis Assessment Behavioral HealthCounseling and Therapy Services or other chemical dependencytreatment services Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment orCase Management Consultation or Prevention to clients related totheir specific Individual Service Plan (ISP) defined needs orrelated to priorities established.

Responsibilities:

  • Under direction ensure that the activities of thisposition and relevant programs are consistent with the missionvision and values of Catholic Charities Diocese ofCleveland.
  • Conduct a diagnosis or needsassessment on referred clients. Write revise and advocate forsuccessful ASAM reports with Managed Care Organizations to obtainauthorization for treatment.
  • Able to work inmens or womens residential treatment programs.
  • Meet the productivity standard in the provision of directclient services such as individual and group services. Planimplement and evaluate services with the participation of personsserved and their families.
  • Develop maintainand monitor assigned clients ISP; review assigned clients progressin treatment and may communicate with other qualified mental healthor alcohol and other drug providers administrative and referringagency staff regarding the progress of assigned clients.
  • Hold a reasonably sized caseload.
  • Provide referrals to other services as required ornecessary.
  • Assist and support clients servedin crises as needed or deliver appropriate crisis intervention andsafety planning services.
  • Willingness to actas supervisor to student interns. Maintain fidelity to program andtreatment model rules.
  • When appropriate assistthe family of clients in strengthening communication skills; accessappropriate physical and mental health care and chemical dependencyresources as needed; access transportation needs; and provideopportunities to build social skills.
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with other involvedprofessionals including psychiatry primary care physiciansprobation and community mental health providers. May monitorpsychiatric symptoms of clients as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in meetings supervision andinservice training regarding specific areas ofresponsibility.

Requirements:

  • Combination of education and experience normallyrepresented by a Masters Degree in Social Work CounselingPsychology or related fields with 35 years of related experience.Required.
  • Must have LISWLPCC LICDC or IMFT. Required.
  • Maintain current certification in First Aid andCPR as needed per program requirements.Required.
  • Must have astrong understanding of addiction and mental illness. Must be ableto form effective working and therapeutic relationships.
  • Must be able to effectively and productively work withpeople of very diverse economic cultural and administrativebackgrounds including those with criminal justiceinvolvement.
  • Must be knowledgeable andresponsive to cultural diversity issues presented in thecoordination of services.
  • Good workingknowledge of computers with familiarity with Microsoft Officesoftware. EMR: Avatar
