Chemical Dependency Counselor IIBilingual (Spanish/English only) Render a range ofassessment and intervention services under direct supervision.Provide consultation to outside agencies on problems assessmentsand recommendations for clients. Will provide individual casemanagement e.g. to clients coming out of a detox center and into aresidential treatment setting or in outpatient services. Will serveboth males and females; may serve adults or adolescents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnosis and treatment for clients within therange of program services; especially those requiring chemicaldependency treatment.
• Provide individual andfamily counseling.
• Prepare written reportsregular case dictation and summaries for consultation according toprogram standards and professional ethics.
• Perform other duties necessary to accomplish objectives.
• Act as an advocate for program participantswith courts schools treatment centers and other services asappropriate to make referrals and conduct followups.
• Provide outreach and case management to primaryclients.

Requirements:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English Only)Required.
• Combination of experienceand education represented by a Bachelors Degree with 3years of relevant chemical dependency counseling work experience.Required.
• LCDC II or be licensureeligible. Required.
• Musthave knowledge and experience working with adolescents andalcohol/drug assessment and case management if clients are youthreturning from state institutions or in the juvenile justicesystem. Required.
• Must beable to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
• Must be organized detailoriented and have the ability tomaintain confidentiality.
• Must possess groupwork skills.
• Must have competent oral writtenand interpersonal communication skills.
• Goodworking knowledge of computers with familiarity with MicrosoftOffice software. EMR: Avatar
