Teaching Personnel are working with multiple secondary schools in the Gosport area who are seeking dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to join their teams. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting students in the classroom, working either on a 1:1 basis or with small groups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students facing various challenges, including those with special educational needs and/or learning and behavioural difficulties or those who may just require extra support.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in school activities and events as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and/or learning and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support is a plus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
